I take a piece of life

and capture it 

A moment unmoving 

plastered onto a blank canvas of man’s design

Unnaturally natural behavior

Is it fair to steal a moment in time 

To keep what should have remained still

To break the mind’s unbroken promise? 

Minds are the unreliable narrator 

Photos keep what the mind cannot

The mind keeps the temporary 

Only leaving memories 

to rot
