There’s a new show that recently came out on Netflix. The show is called “Squid Game: The Challenge.” It’s a show that was released on November 22, 2023, and people had different things to say about it. This show is pretty good since it’s based on another show named Squid Game, but now random people get to play as a reality show, and the winner gets to win 4.56 million dollars. I personally enjoy this show; it’s super fun and definitely a must-watch if you’re bored. Some other reviews disagree with this show, saying that it was unfair and the challenges were too hard. For example, in an article in The Hollywood Reporter, they stated, “Players on the game, who’d been lured by the opportunity to win big only to be met with freezing temperatures, grueling hours, and otherwise brutal conditions, as well as rigged gameplay that set up some to fail before they’d even really had a chance to try.” I completely disagree with this because this is a reality show, and the games are meant to be hard because they are competing for 4.56 million dollars. The players did agree and it was explained to them what would happen if they did sign up to be on the TV show. Also, this Netflix show isn’t a complete copy of the original Squid Game because they added new and exciting challenges that make the viewer excited. An article on Vox named “Netflix’s Squid Game reality show is kinda great. Oh no.” by Alex-Abad-Santos states in their review that Squid Game is a fun and new show on Netflix. Also, in his article, it states, “What makes The Challenge so thrilling is that, despite the familiarity with the source material, it’s still brand new.” This show is entertaining and also shows us how people’s true colors show and how people would act on reality TV. 

This show went viral on TikTok because people thought it was an interesting show. It was a show that they wanted to post about to share their opinions, and ultimately, most people enjoyed the show. Also, some of the contestants on the show went on TikTok to share their thought process and to answer questions on their TikTok page, which was pretty cool. In an article called “Some of the Contestants From ‘Squid Game: The Challenge’ Are Active on TikTok ᅳ Check out Who’s Who” they state that multiple people on the show came on TikTok to talk about their opinions like how they beat a certain game or if they had fun on the show. For example, in the article, we can find contestants saying these things: “Kevin Ninh (@flawlesskevin) was absolutely not shy in pointing themselves out as they competed for the giant piggy bank in the ceiling. Even though they were eliminated in Game 3, they clearly still had a blast.” Also, in the article, another contestant says this: “Emma on TikTok (@emmashavingfun) calls The Challenge one of the ‘coolest experiences of [her] life.’ She has since begun using her platform to discuss what the filming process and dorm life were actually like.” Most contestants talked about how great the show was as an experience, and even though if they lost, they still had fun and were glad they were on the show. 

There are too many reasons why you should watch this show. For starters, it’s based on another popular show that went crazy viral over social media, which was Squid Game. This show was made by and produced by Netflix, which is a popular TV show platform many people use. Many people claim it’s a good show and it’s popular as well, and there are even more reasons that I can’t list them all here. Squid Game: The Challenge is a really good show, and you should go watch it right now. This show has a lot of drama, thrilling, and silly parts, and this show is made for anyone to go watch.
