HOLY WOW! What a film. Although made a while ago this is one of the best Disney animated films I’ve ever seen, with a high rating of 4.6. From the beginning to the end credits this movie had mereeled in(if you know you know). Since its release in 2021, I’ve seen it nearly four times. This film features amazing art work, characters, and more.
The plot is phenomenal. It’s one of my favorite parts about the movie. It begins with Luca, a young boy who spends an unforgettable summer in a small town in Italy with his best friends Gulia and Alberto. He and his best friend Alberto, who is with him the entire time, have a big secret that could endanger their lives. From beginning to the very end this movie is a river of emotions. It is funny, sad, happy, intriguing, fascinating. The artwork and style is exquisite.
I watched Luca again recently and noticed a lot of stuff I hadn’t noticed the first three times I watched it. With each viewing of a film, you get to see an increasing amount of previously unseen material and you get to discover new details about the film. From learning things about the characters to watching the characters grow throughout the film, you really conspire a deep connection with the characters and they make it an even more enjoyable movie to watch.
This film is a fantastic movie to watch with loved ones and friends. The soundtrack is, as always, my favorite aspect of the film. It is captivating and will keep you wanting to hear more. My favorite part is hearing every song, including some that weren’t in the film, at the end credits. Every movie has its good parts and bad parts, but Luca was amazing all the way through and kept you interested the whole way through. It was also emotional because of how relatable the characters and their stories.
All things considered this film was excellent and had fantastic animation. Disney has been making a lot of great movies in my opinion and this is one of the best for me. Upon viewing the film I experienced extreme happiness and joy. It leaves you wanting to see a 2nd Luca. I hope to see more movies like this one and I would absolutely love to see a sequel to see where the characters are and how they have developed since the end of the movie. This one’s for you if you like watching fun, happy, and enjoyable movies with your close ones or even by yourself. I would like to give a special thanks to director Enrico Casarosa for creating such an amazing film.
